Data Collected by the Stage3 Application

Stage3 does not collect any personal data, usage data, telemetry, or diagnostic information. The only network connection established by the application is for license validation, as described below.

Your data stays local

No user account is required.
No usage, diagnostic, or telemetry data is sent — ever.
No media content (audio, video, project files) is transmitted or uploaded.
The application only accesses the files you voluntarily import.
Project files you create are saved in the .stage3 format, locally, at your chosen location. No copies are sent to the publisher or third parties.

License validation (the only network connection)

Stage3 contacts a secure license server exclusively for the following operations:

Activating a license — when you enter your license key.
Deactivating a license — if you choose to transfer your license to another machine.

No other network connection is established by the application. All media playback remains entirely local.

Data transmitted during license validation

When the application contacts the license server, the following data is transmitted:

Your license key.
An anonymous hardware identifier — which cannot be used to identify your machine or you as a person.
Your IP address — inherent to any network connection.

No personal data, no file names, no media content, and no usage information is ever transmitted.

Data stored locally by the application

Local data files for license and trial management. These files are tied to your machine and contain no personal information.

Data stored on the license server

The license server stores:

License keys and their activation status.
Anonymous hardware identifiers of activated machines.
The email address of the purchaser (provided during payment via Stripe).
Connection logs for security purposes.

No user content is ever transmitted to or stored on the license server. License data is retained for as long as the license is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting contact@stage3.me.

Offline operation

Stage3 is designed to work reliably in offline environments. Once activated, the application uses a local license cache and does not require a permanent internet connection. A connection is only needed for the initial activation and optional license transfers.

Data Collected by the stage3.me Website

The stage3.me website has been designed with respect for your privacy:

No cookies are placed on your browser.
No analytics or tracking tools are used (no Google Analytics, no tracking pixels, no web beacons).
No browsing data is collected or recorded.
The only personal information collected through the website is the email address you voluntarily provide via the contact form, for the sole purpose of responding to your message. This data is processed under the same conditions described in the "Email Communication" section below.

Purchase and Payment

Stage3 is available as a direct download from stage3.me. The application includes a free 7-day trial with all features unlocked. No account is required to download or use the trial.

Purchases are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. When you buy a license, your payment information is handled entirely by Stripe. Nicolas ARS does not have access to your banking or credit card details at any point.

The only data transmitted by Stripe to the Stage3 license server is your email address and the confirmation of payment. This email address is stored solely for the purpose of delivering your license key and providing license support. It is not shared with third parties and is never used for marketing.

Stripe's privacy policy applies to all payment operations:
